The development of digital Islamic banking in Indonesia, including the launch of the BYOND by BSI application, requires users to be prepared to adopt technology-based services. Differences in how users assess convenience, trust, and risk are important reasons to examine the determinants of the decision to use the application. This study aims to examine the influence of convenience, trust, and risk perception on the decision to use BYOND by BSI among students of the Islamic Banking Study Program at UIN Madura, both partially and simultaneously, while also determining the most dominant variables. The approach used is a quantitative associative causal approach. Primary data were collected through an online questionnaire from 82 respondents who were determined by purposive sampling from a population of 460 students, with the sample size calculated using the Slovin formula. Data processing utilized PLS-SEM through SmartPLS 4. The test results showed that ease of use (β = 0.490; t = 3.890; p = 0.000), trust (β = 0.441; t = 3.657; p = 0.000), and risk perception (β = 0.227; t = 2.134; p = 0.033) had a positive and significant effect on usage decisions. The three factors together explained 71.3% of the variation in usage decisions (R² = 0.713; R² adjusted = 0.679), while the remainder came from factors outside the model. Ease of use was recorded as the strongest predictor, followed by trust and risk perception. Thus, ease of use, trust, and risk perception play a key role in the adoption of digital Islamic banking applications, so that improvements to the interface, system stability, and transaction security guarantees need to be a primary concern.
