PENGARUH EFEKTIVITAS FUNGSI - FUNGSI MANAJEMEN DI DINAS TENAGA KERJA KOTA PALEMBANG

The purpose of this study is to investigate the implementation of management functions including human resources, planning and personnel recruitment, selection process of personnel recruitment, employee training, orientation of staff of the Office of Manpower of Palembang. In addition, this study also aims to identify differences in attitudes of staff towards the implementation of the functions of human resource management, has been carried out properly or not in the Labor Department of Palembang. In addition, this research also aims to provide basic data that can be used as material for the study similar information in the future.
The subject of this study were 40 employees, the Labor Department of Palembang as respondents or sample population as well as for research. Data were collected by using questionnaires or questionnaires and documentary studies, and then analyzed with quantitative data analysis method that is by komparasional bivariate statistical analysis using the technique Kai Square Test or Chi Square Test.
The results of this study show that: (1) planning and civil service recruitment has not been run well and have not been met as required, because only done more or less 30.2% (2) the hiring selection process has not been going well, because the new implemented approximately 18.9%, (3) employee training has not been run in accordance with the purpose of training purposes, because only done more or less 14.8%; (4) employee orientation is not running as it should, because newly implemented more or less 16.5%; (5) application of the functions of human resource management at the Department of Labor Palembang city, has not been properly implemented, because new only done more or less 21.1%; (6) hypothesis testing results prove that there was no significant difference between employees who stating that the application functions of human resource management has not properly implemented at the Department of Labor Palembang.
