The research method is the experimental method. The research sample was divided into two groups, namely the control group which was not exposed to magnetic fields and the experimental group, namely the group that was given exposure to the Extremely Low Frequency 300 μT magnetic field with a time of 20, 40, and 60 minutes. The data obtained were analyzed by the F test, if the exposure time of the Extremely Low Frequency 300 μT magnetic field had a significant effect, then continued with the BNT test. The results showed that the electrical conductivity value in the experimental group was higher than the control group. The value of electrical conductivity in the control group is 1147 μS/cm, the value of electrical conductivity at 20 minutes exposure is 1156 μS/cm-1268 μS/cm, 40 minutes exposure is 1177 μS/cm 1275 μS/cm, and 60 minutes exposure is 1187 μS/cm-1331 μS/cm. The longer the exposure time to the 300 μT Extremely Low Frequency magnetic field, the higher the tempoyak electrical conductivity value. From the F test that has been carried out, it is found that the exposure time of the Extremely Low Frequency magnetic field significantly affects the value of the tempoyak electrical conductivity (FCount = 26,839 &gt; FTabel = 4,76) with a significant 5%.</p> <p> </p> Ratna Ratna Jumingin Jumingin Atina Atina Copyright (c) 2025 Environmental Science Journal (esjo) : Jurnal Ilmu Lingkungan 2025-06-24 2025-06-24 58 63 10.31851/esjo.v3i2.18448 Persepsi Masyarakat Nelayan Sondong Terhadap Alat Tangkap Sondong di Daerah Sungsang Banyasin Sumatera Selatan https://jurnal.univpgri-palembang.ac.id/index.php/esjo/article/view/18983 <p>fisheries are the mainstay of the coastal community's economy, and Sondong fishing gear is still commonly used. Although Sondong is considered effective, it raises ecological concerns because it risks damaging the seabed habitat and produces high bycatch. This study aims to describe fishing communities' perceptions of Sondong fishing gear regarding its effectiveness and impact on fish resources and the environment. The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach with purposive sampling of active fishermen in Sungsang, conducted in November 2024. The results show that fishermen have a strong understanding of Sondong because it has been widely used and passed down informally. They perceive Sondong as an effective and profitable tool, though this perception is changing as catches decline. The ecological impact has not been widely recognized, and regulations tend to be rejected due to economic dependence. As fishermen's perceptions are more oriented toward the economy than ecology, an educational approach is needed to encourage the transition to more sustainable fishing gear.</p> Helfa Septinar Yunita Panca Putri Ita Emilia Rita Puspasari Copyright (c) 2025 Environmental Science Journal (esjo) : Jurnal Ilmu Lingkungan 2025-06-23 2025-06-23 64 71 10.31851/esjo.v3i2.18983
