THE EFFECT OF UNDERCOVER GAME ON STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY ACHIEVEMENT

The purpose of this study was to find out if eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak's usage of the Undercover Game app affected their vocabulary success in the 2022–2023 academic year. In this study, a pre-experimental design was used. Thirty-two students studying social science made up the sample. Data from the pre- and post-tests were gathered, and a t-test was used for analysis. Twenty-five multiple-choice questions with four possible answers (a, b, c, and d) comprised the test. The post-test result was 2488, but the pre-test result was 2080. The data shows that the t-test result was 18.21. For thirty-one samples, the t table with 5% degree of freedom (df) is 2.039. The alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted based on the data analysis shown above, and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected because the t-test result is greater than the value indicated in the t-table (18.21>2.039). Furthermore, the effect size is 3.09, falling into the high effect (>0.8) category. In summary, there was a significant impact on students' vocabulary achievement when the Undercover Game programme was implemented. For this reason, Undercover Game comes highly recommended as a useful instrument for improving vocabulary in students.

INVESTIGATING STUDENT'S LEVEL OF SELF-EFFICACY IN SPEAKING PERFORMANCE OF THAI EFL LEARNERS

The psychological notion of self-efficacy plays a key role in evaluating students' linguistic aptitude and fluency in English. The purpose of this study is to ascertain Thai students learning English as a foreign language (EFL)'s degree of self-efficacy in oral communication. In order to assess students' confidence in their ability to speak English fluently, the study looks into their sense of self-efficacy. Both quantitative and qualitative methods are used in this investigation. A questionnaire was distributed to 28 students who attended an Islamic high school in Satun, Southern Thailand, using a quantitative methodology. Several kids from the school are interviewed as part of the qualitative technique. Participants are asked particular questions that allow them to give in-depth answers based on their experiences and circumstances. Using the three elements of self-efficacy—magnitude, generality, and strength—the research findings show that students in Thailand consistently have low levels of self-efficacy. As a result, the study's findings imply that Thai students still require assistance in oral English communication. There are numerous uses for this subject in psychology, education, and language instruction. Instructors could come up with strategies to help Thai students feel more confident about learning English as a second language and improve their oral communication abilities. Techniques that enhance English communication skills can be incorporated into language programs and curriculum designs. The results can be used by psychologists to address issues with self-efficacy in language learning. This study takes a fresh approach by examining Thai English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners' self-efficacy, particularly with regard to speaking abilities. It advances existing knowledge by highlighting the specific challenges these students face when speaking. This research provides novel insights that can guide interventions aimed at enhancing students' self-efficacy in oral English communication.

TikTok application is one of the most used applications recently. From 14 years old until 30 years old people spend more than 30 minutes a day opening this application. Enormous, interesting videos with varied topics make many people like TikTok. Besides that, they can create their video easily with the features which are already provided. This phenomenon affects education as well. Teachers try to utilize this application as their learning media. Not only that, but teachers also create their accounts and upload videos that are related to the learning process or education. Therefore, the researcher is interested to know how the language used by teachers in TikTok shapes their identity. The researcher analyzed two subjects, two of them teachers in different countries. This research used a qualitative method that describes the language used in three videos in teachers’ TikTok accounts and analyses it. The findings revealed that both teachers wanted to be seen as capable and friendly teachers because they know how to build an interesting learning process and build good relationships with their students.

The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the learning outcomes of science students regarding plant morphology in class IV at Miftahul Jannah Banyuasin. The method used is quasi experimental design, a form of design that uses non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study was all fourth grade students. Meanwhile, the samples in this research were students in classes IV.A and IV.B with a total of 60 students. The data collection technique is carried out using tests. The data analysis technique used is the t test (independent t test). The results of the research show that the results of the hypothesis using the t-test on both groups with the results obtained, the tcount = 3.60 while the ttable value = 2045, thus tcount > ttable (3.60 > 2045) which means the working hypothesis (Ha) in This research was accepted, namely the results of science learning material on plant morphology for class IV students. This proves that there is an influence of the problem based learning model on the science learning outcomes of plant morphology material for class IV MI (Miftahul Jannah) Banyuasin students.

This research is motivated by students' low interest in learning because in the teaching and learning process teachers tend to use tools in the form of simple media, making it less interesting for students to pay attention to. This research aims to determine the effect of audio-visual media on class IV students' interest in learning in SBdP subjects. This research was carried out at SD Negeri 166 Palembang which is located on Jl. Rimba Kemuning Lr. Buyut, Kemuning District, Palembang City, South Sumatra. This research is a type of experimental research, namely the Quasi Experimental Design type. The population and sample in this study were fourth grade students at SD Negeri 166 Palembang, totaling 29 students in the control class and 26 students in the experimental class. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this research include Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, Hypothesis Test. The results of this research are hypothesis testing showing that t count ≥ t table or 4.706 ≥ 1.674 so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that there is an influence of audio visual media on class IV students' interest in learning in SBdP subjects.

The control over the materials used in the classroom rests with the schools. Because of this, some educational establishments decide to develop their own curricula. When developing the module, schools must follow educational guidelines in addition to ensuring that the learning resources align with the curriculum. This study aims to evaluate and investigate the English curriculum used in one of the middle schools. This study will use a qualitative descriptive research method in conjunction with a qualitative research design. When evaluating an English module for third-grade junior high school students, the Cunningsworth evaluation checklist will offer a comprehensive framework for a general examination and analysis of the module. The research yielded several findings. The linguistic substance of the language style is appropriate for the pupils' grade level. This skill set does not include any writing or listening tasks. The topic analysis indicates that the programme is engaging and exciting, and that there is a significant overlap between the subject matter and the students' daily life. In theory as well as in practice, this research would be helpful. In theory, this study should enhance education, especially in the field of assessing instructional materials for the English language. Additionally, it might support or add to previous findings. It is hoped that this research's practical application will help educators evaluate instructional resources, and English language instructors will find value in the findings. This study examines and assesses English content produced by the school, filling the evaluation gap left by earlier studies that evaluated widely used or education government textbooks. It is expected to assist schools in evaluating their land as a source of instructional materials to facilitate effective instruction.

THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY IN ENGLISH CLASSESS AT SMA NEGERI 1 GIANYAR: STUDENTS’ AND TEACHER’ PERCEPTION

The purpose of the study was to find out how instructors and students felt about using technology in English classes. A mixed method sequential exploratory design was used in the investigation. The subjects were 228 students in the tenth grade at SMA Negeri 1 Gianyar and one English teacher. The interview guide and questionnaire were used to gather respondents' perceptions in order to meet the research goal. A combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis was used to analyze the data. The results showed that: (1) English teachers saw the use of technology in language instruction favorably because it had a number of positive effects; and (2) students believed that using technology in the language learning process could improve their knowledge and proficiency in the language. It showed that incorporating technology into the English language learning process has several positive effects on EFL students as well as English teachers.

QUILLBOT AS AN ALTERNATIVE WRITING TOOL: EXAMINING ITS USES ON THE ACADEMIC WRITING PERFORMANCE OF EFL LEARNERS

This study aimed to assess whether the use of QuillBot enhanced the academic writing skills of EFL learners in the English Education Department at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. Pre-experimental design was implemented in this research. The participants in the research were selected from a class of 20 English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners who had recently completed their academic writing classes the previous semester. Data from the pre-test and post-test was collected and a t-test was used for analyses using SPSS 29.0 version. This test consisted of an academic writing test about things that transpired in the educational sphere. The pre-test score reached 123, while the post-test score was 285. The data demonstrates that the t-test result was 56.53. The significance level of a = 0.05. The results determined that Sig (2-tailed) 0.000 is the probability value for the pre-test and post-test data for the EFL academic writing performance by using QuillBot. H₀ is rejected since the probability (Sig.) 0.000 < 0.05. Furthermore, the results strongly indicate that QuillBot has greatly enhanced EFL learners' academic writing skills.

The purpose of this study is to determine the translation strategies applied on the IKEA Indonesia website for the Ramadan edition and to examine how those strategies are applied considering Molina and Albir's (2002) theory. 121 items of information were gathered from the Ramadan category on the official IKEA Indonesia website using a qualitative descriptive method. This study was conducted in four stages: collecting data from the Ramadan category on the IKEA Indonesia website, identifying words, phrases, or clauses, then categorizing data according to the translation techniques, and analyzing the use of translation techniques from the categorized data. The results show that among 18 techniques proposed by Molina and Albir, the variation translation technique takes the most frequent used translation techniques in translating the content with the total occurrence of 38 data (31,4%), followed by literal translation technique with 32 data (26,4%), as well as ‘adaptation’ technique that occur in 16 data (13,2%). The implication of his study is both theoretically and practically beneficial for the study of translation.

This research was motivated by low student learning outcomes due to students' lack of ability to understand social studies learning material. Apart from that, the learning methods and media used by teachers are less varied, and learning activities by memorizing a very wide range of social studies material make learning seem boring. This research aims to determine the effect of the treasure hunt method assisted by audio-visual media on social studies learning outcomes for class V at SD Negeri 13 Palembang. This research was carried out at SD Negeri 13 Palembang which is located at Jl. Tiger Protection, Bukit Baru, Ilir Barat I District, Palembang City, South Sumatra Province. This research is a type of experimental research, namely the True Experimental Design type. The population and sample in this study were fifth grade students at SD Negeri 13 Palembang, totaling 35 students in the control class and 35 students in the experimental class. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, tests and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this research include Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, Hypothesis Test. The results of this research were hypothesis testing using the t test (Independent Sample t-test), it was found that the sig (2-tailed) value was 0.000 because the significant value was smaller than 0.05, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the treasure hunt method assisted by audio-visual media on the social studies learning outcomes for class V at SD Negeri 13 Palembang.

This research is motivated by the low interest in reading of students in learning Indonesian because in the teaching and learning process teachers tend to use tools in the form of media in the form of books only and lecture methods, making it less interesting for students to pay attention to. This research aims to determine the development of comic-based learning media that is valid, practical and effective for use in class 11 in Indonesian language subjects. This research was carried out at SD Negeri 17 Palembang which is located on Jl. Enim Lorok Pakjo, Demang Lebar Daun, Palembang City, South Sumatra. This research is a type of ADDIE research, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The population and sample in this research were class 2 students at SD Negeri 17 Palembang, totaling 30 students in the class. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. , The results of this research are the results of the assessment of all validators, the percentage is 98% with the criteria "Very Valid" while one to one gets an average percentage of 84.5%. It can be concluded very practically, based on the criteria, the average percentage value is 81%-100 % that the comic media developed is very practical, the implementation of the Small Group trial phase obtained an average percentage of 90.7% Very Practical. The results of the data analysis of the Flied test product trial carried out by 30 class 2 students at SD Negeri 17 Palembang in the table show that It can be seen that the students' response to the total score was obtained with a percentage of 92.2% with very practical criteria, the potential effect on the 2nd class students at SD Negeri 17 Palembang, totaling 30 students, through 10 multiple choice test questions with a completion percentage of 86% or 27 students achieved the KKM score and 3 students below the KKM. Based on this percentage, the potential effect and final results or post test with a percentage result of 90% (p≥80%) so that comic media is categorized as very potential.

This research was carried out at SD Negeri 30 Palembang which is located on Jl. Freshwater River, 29 Ilir, Kec. Ilir Barat II, Palembang City, South Sumatra. This research is a type of experimental research, namely the True Experimental Design type. The population and sample in this research were fourth grade students at SD Negeri 30 Palembang, totaling 32 students in the control class and 32 students in the experimental class. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this research include Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, Hypothesis Test. The results of this research are hypothesis testing showing that t count ≥ t table or 6.938 ≥ 0.349, so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is an influence of tangram media on students' interest in learning flat shape material in class IV at SD Negeri 30 Palembang.

This research is motivated by low student learning outcomes, because in the teaching and learning process teachers only use conventional learning models, so it is less interesting for students to pay attention to. This research aims to determine the influence of the Numbered Head Together model on English Subject learning outcomes on State Emblem material at SD Negeri 43 Palembang. This research is a type of experimental research, Quasi Experimental Design. The population and sample in this study were class III students at SD Negeri 43 Palembang, totaling 16 students in the control class and 14 students in the experimental class. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis techniques in this research are normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. From the results of calculating the hypothesis test using the independent sample t-test, the Sig.(2-tailed) value was 0.000 < 0.05 and the value of tcount > ttable was 5.145 > 1.701, which means that based on hypothesis testing Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. This means that there is an influence of the Numbered Head Together model on learning outcomes in the State Emblem material at SD Negeri 43 Palembang.

DEVELOPMENT OF SMART STUDENT LEARNING MEDIA IN IMPROVING STUDENT ABILITIES TO THINK CRITICALLY

The low interest that students have in mathematics classes is the driving force behind this research, which aims to increase students' engagement and comprehension of addition and subtraction concepts by employing smart ladder media. The purpose of this study is to use smart ladder media to increase the Hots Thinking Subject's capacity. SD Negeri 83 Palembang, situated on Jl. Pangeran Ratu Jakabaring, RT 29/ RW 08, 15 Ulu, Seberang Ulu I District, Palembang City, South Sumatra, is the location where this research was conducted. This study falls under the category of development research since it aims to identify Valid, Practical, and Potential Effects. 10 students from class II at SD Negeri 83 Palembang participated in this study; ten students took the practical test and twenty-seven students worked on the questionnaire. In this study, tests and questionnaires were used as data collection methods. The investigation yielded 89% of the results with the criterion "Very valid" across all validators. A practicality test, administered at SD Negeri 83 Palembang, yielded a 56% "Quite practical" proportion among the ten students who completed the questionnaires. At SD Negeri 83 Palembang, the possible impact of providing 10 essay test questions received an 82% "Very Effective" rating.

Technology development has led to the rise of social media, which affects all facets of a person's life, including Gen Z. The purpose of this study is to show Gen Z's overall opinions about Twitter's contribution to their English language development. In this poll, 84 Gen Z participants, ranging in age from 15 to 27, from diverse backgrounds and residences across Indonesia, took part. The participants divulged their answers to the survey questions concerning Twitter's contribution to the evolution of Gen Z English. Simple percentage analysis was used to examine the respondents' questionnaire responses, and the results were explained in relation to relevant theories and earlier research. This study revealed that Twitter plays a significant role in fostering the development of Gen Z English. Twitter not only helps Generation Z become more fluent in English, but it also gives them a platform to voice their opinions, share information, promote themselves, and engage in communication. This study offers useful data and fresh perspectives that may help us comprehend the part social media plays in Gen Z's English development.

The purpose of this study is to ascertain whether class IV students at SDN 90 Palembang are able to improve their learning outcomes in Indonesian language proficiency through the usage of learning facilities. A pre-experimental approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed in this study. The sample method used in this study was non-probability sampling combined with a saturated sampling methodology, and the population consisted of all 24 class IV students at SDN 90 Palembang. The paired sample t-test is the analysis method employed in the study. The questionnaire instrument's t test analysis findings show that there areWith a significance level of 0.05 and a significant value of 0.000 (two tailed), the result is rejected and accepted since the significant value is less than 0.05 and 1.713. Concurrently, the hypothesis positing that the test questions on learning outcomes were significant (two-tailed) was rejected and accepted at a significance level of 0.05, since the significant value was 0.000 < 0.05 and 1.713. THE RELATIONSHIP OF STUDENTS' CREATIVITY LEVEL TO THE ABILITY TO WRITE THE NARRATIVE ESSAYS

Student creativity refers to the ability to create something new to provide knowledge in the learning process, such as writing narrative essays. This study aims to explain whether there is a relationship between the level of student creativity and the ability to write narrative essays of grade IV students of SDN 98 Palembang. This research uses correlation research method with quantitative approach. The results of this study indicate that the questionnaire of student creativity with a total score of 5 (8%) students in the moderately creative category, 29 (49%) students in the creative category, 25 (42%) students in the very creative category. The results of the narrative essay writing test show that 35 students scored above the average, which is 78. Many students have the ability to write narrative essays, namely 13 students are categorized as sufficient, 32 students are categorized as good, and 14 students are categorized as very good. Students are able to develop their creativity into a narrative essay. The results of the data show that there is a significant relationship between the level of student creativity and the ability to write narrative essays of grade IV students of State Elementary School 98 Palembang, which means accepting Ha and rejecting Ho. This research method is correlational, for further researchers can examine more deeply about the level of student creativity regarding writing skills.

Traditional foods have names whose origins are unknown. The names of these traditional foods contain meaning, cultural values and history that shape them. This is important to document in order to preserve traditional food and to enrich the formation of Indonesian vocabulary. This research aims to (1) inventory and document Purworejo traditional food in the form of market snacks; (2) describe the meaning of names, characteristics and techniques for making traditional market snacks in Purworejo. This research is qualitative research using a documentation study approach. This research data consists of images, vocabulary and morphological structure. The data source is in the form of documents regarding traditional market snacks in Purworejo Regency. The sampling technique was carried out using purposive sampling. The data collection technique was carried out by document analysis. The data analysis technique is carried out using flowing model data analysis. Testing the validity of the data was carried out by triangulation between researchers. The results of the research showed that (1) 17 names of traditional snacks from Purworejo Regency were found that had not been documented in KBBI V, namely ciwel, clorot, dawet goreng, jenang pati garut/kerut, jongkong, golak, kue lompong, kokrok, putil, legendar, lemet, lupis, mata roda, meniran, rangin, sengkulun, and tahu susur/brontak. (2) The characteristics of each food vary, such as how it is made, how to eat it, and the ingredients used. (3) The making technique is generally done by steaming, boiling and frying. It is hoped that this research can add to the vocabulary of Indonesian and become an effort to preserve traditional Indonesian snacks.

The methodology employed is descriptive qualitative research, with data sourced from English-language profile summaries written by Indonesians. The findings reveal a diverse range of linguistic features, all aimed at achieving the communication goals of the profile summary, which include self-promotion, personal branding, and creating a positive image for the reader. These findings are expected to assist LinkedIn users in crafting more attractive and effective profile summaries. The novelty of this research lies in its analysis of contemporary discourse genres that evolve with the times.

UTILIZING GOOGLE CLASSROOM FOR ENGLISH INSTRUCTION: POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE IMPACTS IN A HIGH SCHOOL SETTING

The integration of digital platforms in education has become increasingly prevalent, particularly in response to the need for remote learning solutions. This study aims to explore the structure of teaching and learning activities using Google Classroom in learning English and to find out the impacts of using Google Classroom in Learning English. The subjects of this study were 30 students of science class XI at Senior High School 3 of West Seram, Maluku, Indonesia. This study employed qualitative research. The data was collected through documentation and in-depth interview. The result of this study revealed that teaching and learning activities using Google Classroom run for approximately one semester. The students and teacher utilized Google Classroom to discuss the materials and submit the assignment through the platform’s features. This study also presented the positive and negative impacts of using Google Classroom in Learning English. The positive impacts are increased student participation, ease of assignment submission, the flexibility to learn from anywhere at any time, saving time and energy to learn, and even improvements in reading, writing, and listening skills in English. Conversely, the negative impacts are the students feeling frustrated and restless, tendencies towards procrastination, and instances of plagiarism.

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how the project to raise the Pancasila student profile (p5) has affected the class IV pupils at SDN 10 Sungailiat's autonomous attitude.Quantitative experimental procedures are the research approach that is employed. Questionnaires are the method used in this study to collect data. This study uses a quasi-experimental design with a posttest alone and a non-equivalent control group. The average posttest score for the control class is 51.37, whereas the experimental class's posttest score is 83.96, according to data processing results from the research. The sample is drawn from a population that is regularly distributed, according to the results of the normality test. The results of the homogeneity test demonstrate that each group's variance is the same, or homogeneous. The results of the independent sample t-test hypothesis test show nvalue of significance2-tailednamely 0.000 so Sig. 0,000< 0.05 with a value of tcount 35.217 and ttable 2.00575 so tcount > ttable. Thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is influenceproject to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students (p5) towards the independent attitude of class IV students at SDN 10 Sungailiat.

THE NECESSITY OF TOEFL CLASS FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS OF CIVIL AVIATION

This article is part of a report on the implementation of training activities to increase TOEFL scores for undergraduate students at the Palembang Polytechnic of Civil Aviation. The activities were carried out partly because some of the cadets had never taken a TOEFL test before. This descriptive research was conducted on this activity. The instruments were a needs analysis questionnaire for the students and an interview guideline for the lecturer. The method of implementing the activity is carrying out a TOEFL preparation class for a 4-hour lecture course. The results of the activity show that there is a significant increase in scores but taking into account that TOEFL is divided into three parts: listening, structure and written expressions, and reading comprehension, its preparation process for TOEFL is a long study course. Each unit has different abilities with 27 skills in the listening section, 60 in the structure and written expressions, and 14 in the reading section. Therefore, with a total of 101 skills to be mastered, a 4-hour lecture course is clearly insufficient.

The objective of this research aims to know the types, the causes of lexical error found in translating narrative text, and the steps of the implication theory for teaching English as a foreign language. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with the strategy of Case Study. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with the strategy of Case Study in which analyzing by describing the lexical errors that student produces in translating narrative text from English into Indonesian. The source of data is the narrative text entitled "The Fox and the Grapes". The data were collected by using review book and interview. Based on the research, the researcher found The errors included Prefix type (5 errors), Misselection (2 errors), Using wrong near-synonym (1 error), semantically determined word selection (28 error). Errors committed due to the learner’s inability to recall, errors caused by confusion between formally similar items. The theoretical implication for language teaching. The finding of this research hopefully can give a contribution to the English teaching and learning process.

Stand Up Comedy Kompas TV is the first single comedy competition event pioneered by Indonesian celebrities, namely Pandji Pragiwaksono, Raditya Dika, Indro Warkop, and Indra Yudhistira, one of the producers and directors of comedy programs at Kompas TV. Not just any comic can appear in this competition (show). The selected comics are the result of selection by the judges so that they can be categorized as the best finalists who of course have undoubted abilities. Stand Up Comedy Kompas TV has broadcast 10 seasons. Uniquely, male participants dominate over female participants. This certainly didn't happen accidentally. Several relevant studies have not raised gender issues in the humorous language techniques of Stand Up Comedy. The aim of this research is to describe the differences in humorous language techniques of male and female participants in the Kompas TV Stand Up Comedy competition. By combining the theories of Berger (1998) and Wijana (2001) with the pragmatic matching method, it is hoped that differences in the humor techniques of male and female participants in the competition can be found. The results showed that the humorous language techniques of male participants that were not used by female participants were (1) infantilism, (2) sexual allusion, (3) repetition, (4) repartee, (5) narcissism, (6) homonyms, ( 7) taboo words, (8) paradoxical figures of speech, (9) exchange of speaking styles, (10) greeting words, and (11) mispronunciations. The female participants' humorous language techniques that were not used by male participants during the audition were (1) role playing, (3) ridicule, (3) roasting, (4) changing words, (5) collocations, and (6) clarification. . From the findings of the use of absurd stories by comic artists, it can be said that the male participants' ability to tell stories outside of logic seems to dominate with the use of this technique by 5 out of 10 male participants in auditioning for SUCI. The language technique of self-deprecation seems to be dominantly used by female comics compared to other humorous language techniques because of the 8 female participants, there are 4 comics who use it.

Thus, this research aims to analyze the need for developing digital-based English learning media for deaf children. This qualitative research involved students and teachers at SLB-B Karya Ibu Palembang. A needs analysis was carried out to identify the sustainable situation of deaf children for the development of digital learning media for English lessons. Interview and observation techniques using two types of instruments in the form of interview guides, observation, and field notes were used to collect information about the English language learning needs of deaf students. Research findings identified several needs that underlie the development of digital learning materials for English lessons, namely inadequate English teachers, text-based teaching materials, and less than optimal teaching and learning processes because they are still textbook-based, while deaf students are visual learners. Therefore, the development of digital learning media is very necessary. One of the digital learning media that can be developed is E-books. By using e-books containing media such as pictures, animations, and videos, learning becomes more fun and easier for teachers and deaf students in teaching and learning English.

This essay explores how ChatGPT can support the academic writing process through a rigorous literature review. It demonstrates that ChatGPT may generate interest across a wide linguistic spectrum, gather the most recent knowledge to assist with a range of activities, reply to inquiries with sincere dialogue, and improve writing skills. It also figures out the connection of process of writing based on (Nang et al., 2008) by using ChatCPT companions.
