Freestyle swimming learning requires an integrated mastery of hand, foot, and breathing coordination, but the learning process in schools is generally still dominated by verbal explanations without media support that clarifies the movement demonstration. The initial conditions at SMA Negeri 18 Bone showed low classical completeness, namely only 30% of students achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) with an average grade of 69.45. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of freestyle swimming in grade X students of SMA Negeri 18 Bone through the application of audio-visual media. The research uses a two-cycle classroom action research design; each cycle contains the stages of planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 20 students of class X. Data were collected through knowledge tests, skill assessments, attitude observations, and documentation, then analyzed in a quantitative descriptive manner based on the percentage of learning completeness. The results showed a multi-stage increase between stages: classical completeness increased from 30% (pre-action) to 45% in cycle I (average 73.30) and reached 90% in cycle II (average 88.55). In aspects, cognitive completeness increased from 40% to 80%, psychomotor from 70% to 85%, and affective from 60% to 90%. The application of audio-visual media has been shown to be effective in clarifying technical understanding, improving movement quality, and fostering positive learning attitudes. These findings imply the need to integrate engineering videos as demonstration models in school swimming learning, combined with hands-on practice and individual feedback.
