PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS TEKS DESKRIPSI MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DENGAN MEDIA GAMBAR BERSERI DAN PENDEKATAN PROSES

Kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi sering menjadi tantangan bagi siswa, terutama dalam menggambarkan pengalaman secara mendalam dan terstruktur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Abab tahun ajaran 2024/2025 melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbasis media gambar berseri dan pendekatan proses. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model siklus Kemmis dan McTaggart, yang terdiri atas empat tahap: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes menulis teks deskripsi, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan menulis siswa yang signifikan. Pada siklus pertama, 57% siswa mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKTP), sedangkan pada siklus kedua, persentase meningkat menjadi 90%. Penerapan PBL dengan media gambar berseri dan pendekatan proses terbukti efektif dalam membantu siswa mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, dan keterampilan menulis. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi metode PBL, media visual, dan pendekatan proses dapat dijadikan strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah mengadaptasi metode ini untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis dalam jenis teks lainnya dan mengeksplorasi media pembelajaran yang lebih variatif.
