SISTEM RELIGI MASYARAKAT TOBA DALAM  LEGENDA DANAU TOBA KAJIAN ANTROPOLOGI SASTRA

Abstract

Karya sastra diciptakan untuk dinikmati, dipahami, dan dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat. Penelitian ini membahas sistem religi masyarakat Toba dalam legenda Danau Toba. Legenda ini tidak hanya dianggap sebagai cerita lisan yang secara turun-temurun, tetapi juga sebagai sistem religi, budaya, norma serta hubungan spIritual masyarakat dengan alam dan leluhur. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan sistem kepercayaan masyarakat Toba yang terkandung dalam legenda Danau Toba itu sendiri dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana presepsi masyarakat terhadap legenda Danau Toba. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode wawancara untuk mengumpulkan data-data yang akan dikaji oleh penulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem kepercayaan yang terdapat dalam legenda Danau Toba adalah (1) emosi keagamaan, (2) sistem keyakinan, (3) sistem ritus dan upacara, (4) peralatan ritus dan upacara dan, (5) umat keagamaan. Selanjutnya, presepsi masyarakat terhadap legenda Danau Toba yang berasal dari angket jawaban masyarakat Bakara. Dari hasil penelitian menggunakan perhitungan skala likert, 83,2% masyarakat Bakara memiliki presepsi positif terhadap legenda Danau Toba.
