Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tokoh dalam film laskar pelangi dan freedom writers dan membandingkan antara tokoh dalam film laskar pelangi dan film freedom writers. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah teknik simak dan catat. Hasil penelitian dari kedua film antara Laskar Pelangi dan Freedom Writers adalah keduanya memiliki tokoh utama yang berperan sebagai seorang siswa dan seorang guru, namun memiliki karakter yang hampir sama dari kedua tokoh utama dalam film laskar pelangi dan freedom writers. Ikal sebagai tokoh utama dalam film laskar pelangi memiliki karakter yang baik, setia kawan, pintar, dan panang menyerah, sedangkan erin sebagai tokoh utama dalam film freedom writer memiliki karakter yang baik, professional, pantang menyerah, dan bersemangat.
