Analisis Kesalahan Berbahasa Bidang Semantik pada Karangan Teks Deskripsi Siswa Kelas VII A SMPIT Ar-Raihan Kabupaten Bantul

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penggunaan bahasa Indonesia pada tataran semantik masih banyak ditemukaan beberapa kesalahan, hal itu disebabkan oleh pengajaran bahasa yang kurang tepat, siswa dalam memilih kata ketika menulis suatu karya kurang memerhatikan kaidah bahasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesalahan berbahasa bidang semantik dalam karangan teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII SMPIT Ar-Raihan Bantul. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sumber data dari penelitian ini adalah karangan teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII SMPIT Ar-Raihan Bantul. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dengan menggunakan teknik sadap dan teknik lanjutan simak bebas libat cakap. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis data padan dengan teknik analisis berupa refrensial. Refrensi yang digunakan adalah Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI), Akronim Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia (PUEBI) serta pendapat para ahli yang disampaikan melalui penelitian yang relevan dengan penelitian ini. Dari hasil analisis 10 karangan siswa yang mendapatkan skor nilai tertinggi di kelas ditemukan dua karangan dengan gejala pleonasme, enam karangan dengan kesalahan pemilihan kata yang tidak tepat sehingga memunculkan adanya perubahan makna, serta dua karangan dengan pemilihan kata yang tidak tepat sehingga menimbulkan makna yang ambiguitas. Hasil penelitian menyimpulakan bahwasannya kesalahan berbahasa siswa tataran semantik ini disebabkan oleh kebiasaan siswa dalam memilih kata yang kurang sesuai dengan kaidah bahasa Indonesia.
