Penelitian bertujuan untuk meneliti koreografi Gendhuk Inter-inter. Masalah difokuskan pada bagaimana bentuk koreografi Gendhuk Inter-inter dan bagaimana proses penciptaan Tari Gendhuk Inter-inter. Guna mendekati masalah ini dipergunakan acuan teori dari Susanne K. Langer tentang bentuk koreografi, didukung oleh teori Sumandiyo Hadi dalam buku Aspek-aspek Dasar Koreografi yang menjelaskan elemen-elemen koreografi kelompok yaitu gerak, ruang, iringan, judul, tema, jenis tari, mode penyajian, jumlah penari, rias dan kostum, lighting dan properti. Untuk membahas proses penciptaan tari menggunakan teori Alma Hawkins dalam buku Creating Trough Dance yang menjelaskan sebuah proses kreatif melalui tiga tahap yaitu eksplorasi, improvisasi dan komposisi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan data-data yang dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi pustaka. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Tari Gendhuk Inter-inter merupakan tari kreasi baru sebagai materi di Sanggar Pritakusuma yang mengangkat kehidupan masyarakat petani di Kabupaten Sragen dengan menghasilkan koreografi yang sederhana.

Abstract

The research aims to examine the choreography of Gendhuk Inter-inter. The focus is on understanding the form of the choreography of Gendhuk Inter-inter and the creative process involved in its creation. To approach this issue, the theory by Susanne K. Langer on the form of choreography is used, supported by Sumandiyo Hadi's theory in the book Aspek-aspek Dasar Koreografi, which explains the elements of group choreography such as movement, space, accompaniment, title, theme, dance style, presentation mode, number of dancers, makeup and costumes, lighting, and props. To discuss the process of dance creation, Alma Hawkins' theory in the book Creating Through Dance is applied, which outlines a creative process through three stages: exploration, improvisation, and composition. This research uses a qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The study concludes that Gendhuk Inter-inter is a new creative dance piece produced at Sanggar Pritakusuma, depicting the life of farming communities in Sragen Regency, resulting in a simple choreography.
