Plagiarism Screening

Jurnal Ampere is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and publication ethics. To ensure the authenticity of every submitted manuscript, all submissions undergo plagiarism screening before entering the peer-review process.

The plagiarism screening policy of Jurnal Ampere includes the following principles:

Plagiarism Detection

All submitted manuscripts are screened using Turnitin or equivalent plagiarism detection software to identify similarities with previously published works and other available sources.

Similarity Index

The maximum acceptable similarity index is 25%. However, the Editorial Board evaluates not only the overall similarity percentage but also the nature and source of the matched content. Similarity resulting from properly cited references, standard technical terminology, commonly used methodological descriptions, and legally quoted materials will not automatically be considered plagiarism.

Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 25% may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected, depending on the extent and nature of the similarity.

Handling Plagiarism Cases

If plagiarism, duplicate publication, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, or other forms of research misconduct are identified, the manuscript will be rejected immediately. If such misconduct is discovered after publication, the Editorial Board may issue a correction, retraction, or removal of the article in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy.

Publication Ethics

Jurnal Ampere follows the ethical principles and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors are expected to submit original work, properly acknowledge all sources, and comply with the journal's ethical standards throughout the publication process.

By implementing this plagiarism screening policy, Jurnal Ampere aims to ensure the originality, credibility, and scientific integrity of every article published, while maintaining the trust of authors, reviewers, readers, and the broader academic community.
