Penelitian ini mengkaji perencanaan dan pengukuran sistem pentanahan pada gardu distribusi 20 kV di
Desa Danau Gerak dan Desa Plencur, Kecamatan Semende Darat Ulu, Kabupaten Muara Enim. Hasil
analisis menunjukkan bahwa kedalaman elektroda batang dan jenis tanah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap
nilai resistansi pentanahan. Perencanaan awal memperkirakan nilai resistansi pentanahan, namun hasil
pengukuran lapangan mengindikasikan adanya perbedaan. Di Desa Danau Gerak, nilai resistansi
pentanahan mengalami sedikit perbedaan antara perencanaan (4,91 Ω) dan hasil lapangan (rata-rata 4,52
Ω). Sementara itu, di Desa Plencur, perbedaan lebih signifikan; perencanaan menunjukkan nilai 4,47 Ω,
sedangkan hasil pengukuran commisioning test menunjukkan nilai sebesar 1,31 Ω saat tanah basah pasca
hujan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kondisi kelembaban tanah berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap nilai
resistansi pentanahan. Studi ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya evaluasi dan pengujian yang cermat terhadap
karakteristik tanah dan kondisi lingkungan saat pengukuran pentanahan pada instalasi listrik.
