Penguatan Karakter Peserta Didik Melalui Motivasi Orangtua di Sekolah

Sekolah Dasar Negeri 24 Barung-barung Balantai yang terletak di Painan, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan, menghadapi tantangan signifikan terkait dengan karakter peserta didik, khususnya dalam hal kedisiplinan. Masalah yang umum ditemukan meliputi keterlambatan siswa, ketidakmampuan menyelesaikan tugas tepat waktu, dan pelanggaran terhadap tata tertib sekolah. Masalah perilaku ini tidak hanya berdampak negatif pada prestasi akademik siswa, tetapi juga mengganggu suasana sekolah, menjadikannya kurang kondusif untuk pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran orang tua tentang peran penting mereka dalam membentuk karakter anak, dengan penekanan pada pentingnya motivasi dan dukungan orang tua di rumah. Inisiatif ini melibatkan sosialisasi langsung dengan 35 orangtua untuk memperkuat peran mereka dalam upaya pembentukan karakter. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan masih adanya kebutuhan untuk perbaikan dalam disiplin, tanggung jawab, motivasi belajar, dan sikap sosial siswa. Program ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih tertib dan mendukung, yang pada gilirannya akan meningkatkan hasil akademik siswa.
