Effectiveness of Training Programs to Improve Tennis Service Skills

Servis dalam permainan tenis penting, karena selain sebagai pembuka dalam suatu pertandingan, servis dapat memberikan poin jika masuk ke area lawan secara sah tanpa dapat mengembalikannya. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan utama untuk melihat sejauh mana hasil program latihan keterampilan tenis lapangan pada mahasiswa Penjaskesrek Semester Ganjil di FKIP Universitas Halu Oleo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Penjaskesrek Semester Ganjil FKIP Universitas Halu Oleo yang membuka 959 mahasiswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling yang diambil dengan syarat siswa aktif, laki-laki, dan juga aktif mengikuti kursus tenis sehingga diambil sampel 20 siswa. Instrumen akurasi pukulan servis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan “Tes Prestasi Tenis Hewitt†dari AAHPER yang memiliki nilai validitas dan reliabilitas tertentu, nilai validitasnya adalah 0,93 sedangkan nilai reliabilitasnya adalah 0,94. Penelitian ini melihat perbedaan antara tes awal (pre-test) dan tes akhir (post-test) dengan orang eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan selama 30 kali latihan. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data diperoleh rata-rata serviceability pada saat pre-test adalah 34 poin, dengan standar deviasi 0,2, sedangkan rata-rata serviceability pada post-test adalah 42 poin, dengan standar deviasi 0,9 Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil service yang signifikan antara pre-test dan post-test setelah latihan diberikan secara teratur. Penelitian ini melihat perbedaan antara tes awal (pre-test) dan tes akhir (post-test) dengan orang eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan selama 30 kali latihan.
