Abstract

This study aims to examine instructional leadership in supporting deep learning at SMP Negeri 2 Gelumbang. A qualitative approach was used through interviews, observations, and documentation, with data analyzed using George C. Edwards III’s framework. The findings show that instructional leadership strengthens deep learning through academic supervision, teacher development, collaboration, monitoring, and reflective practices, increasing student-centered learning and participation. The study is useful for educational leadership and school management. Its novelty lies in an adaptive instructional leadership pattern that integrates supervision, teacher development, collaboration, and learning monitoring within the local school context.
