Oil palm plantations generate large amounts of solid waste, particularly Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB). One alternative for managing this waste is to convert it into organic fertilizer through a combustion process. This study aims to utilize EFB as organic fertilizer by varying the combustion air hole diameters of 2.5 mm and 5 mm. The ash produced from combustion was analyzed for its nutrient content and tested for its effectiveness on chili plants. The results show that an air hole diameter of 2.5 mm produced a more stable combustion temperature, with an average of 392.3°C, compared to the 5 mm diameter, which reached only 351.7°C. The resulting ash contained nutrients of N (0.14%), P (0.59%), and K (0.043%). Application of the ash fertilizer increased chili plant height, with an average growth of 3.2 cm, higher than untreated plants, which showed an average growth of only 2.3 cm.
