ABSTRAK
               Menggangkat sebuah pembelajaran instrumen kolitang untuk persatuan ibu-ibu karyawan PT.Pusri Palembang, untuk menjelaskan bagaimana metode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran instrumen kolintang untuk lagu-lagu daerah. Dengan menggunakan metode drill akan memudahkan dalam pembelajaran teknik-teknik, penabuhan, serta penggabungan instrumen satu dengan lainnya. Hasil akan terlihat dalam sebuah pertunjukan yang diselenggarakan nantinya.
               Dewasa ini Perkembangan instrumen kolintang tersebar diseluruh wilayah Indonesia, salah satunya Palembang. Kesenian ini berkembang sangat baik hingga dapat dipelajari selain masyarakat minasaha itu sendiri, Kolintang biasa disebut kulintang. Kata Kolintang sendiri sebenarnya berasal dari bunyi yang di hasilkan oleh musik tersebut yakni Tong pada saat nada rendah, Ting waktu nada tinggi dan Tang ketika nada tengah. Jadi, pengertian bermain musik Ansambel Kolintang yaitu bermain musik secara bersama-sama menggunakan alat musik Kolintang. dalam permainan instrumen kolintang banyak lagu-lagu yang bisa dimainkan, karena memiliki wilayah nada standard.
