Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk penyajian tari Pagar  sanggar Melati Collection di Kota Palembang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, yang menguraikan atau memaparkan tentang bagaimana bentuk penyajian tari pagar pengantindi sanggar Melati Collection di kota Palembang. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi, teknik wawancara, dan teknik dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tari pagar  sanggar Melati Collection merupakan tari yang mengangkat kisah haru sepasang pengantin yang akan menjalin kehidupan rumah tangga baru. Tari Pagar Pengantin merupakan tari dengan jumlah 4 penari pendamping dan 1 penari utama (pengantin). Unsur pendukung penyajian tari Pagar Pengantin yang meliputi gerak, musik, jenis musik, busana dan tata rias, dan tempat pementasan.Tari Pagar Pengantin hanya memiliki satu bentuk pola lantai yakni pola huruf ‘V’ dengan dua tingkatan yakni berdiri dan duduk. Tari ini menggunakan gerak-gerak sederhana yang mengikuti musik tarinya, sehingga untuk pemula sekalipun mudah untuk mempelajari dan mengingat geraknya. Gerak dalam tari ini mengikuti musik tari dengan menggunakan alat tradisional yaitu: gendang melayu, kenong, gong dan accordion serta menggunakan properti nampan sebagai pijakan untuk pengantin atau penari utama.
