Abstract

ABSTRAK

 

Kain songket merupakan salah satu ikon daerah Kota Palembang, yang telah dimiliki indonesia bahkan telah diakui dunia. Kain songket Kota Palembang memiliki karakteristik yang sangat kuat dimata tekstile dunia, selain motif dan bahannya yang unik, songket Palembang juga memiliki kualitas yang tidak dapat diragukan. Terinspirasi dari kain songket maka digaraplah sebuah karya tari kreasi baru “Betenun†yang merupakan suatu proses yang dilakukan untuk membuat satu lembar kain songket benang emas yang cantik. Dalam proses kreaatifnya penggarapan karya ini melibatkan mahasiswa Seni Pertunjukan Universitas PGRI Palembang. Sumber data didapatkan dari observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara, dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif serta menggunakan pendekatan etnokoreografi. Dari proses kreatif ini didapatlah empat tahapan proses kreatif dalam sebuah penggarapan karya tari yaitu  persiapan, inkubasi, pencerahan dan pelaksanaan. Hasil dari pada proses kreatif ini diharapkan dapat diterima dimasyarakat terutama bermanfaat bagi mahasiswa seni pertunjukan dalam menciptakan karya tari baru pada proses pembelajaran koreografi.
