Identitas Akademik dan Kapital Manusia Mahasiswa Program Doktor: Kajian Naratif di Perguruan Tinggi Swasta

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi identitas akademik dan kapital manusia mahasiswa doktor yang terkait dengan cara mereka mengembangkan karier akademiknya setelah lulus, dan saat kembali bekerja di perguruan tinggi. Kerangka teori yang digunakan dalam kajian ini teori praktisi dan teori kapital. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis tematik reflektif digunakan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang identitas akademik dan kapital dari partisipan penelitian. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa program doktoral tentang studi program doktoral adalah pendidikan doktoral dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan profesional mereka, terutama terkait dengan penelitian dan publikasi jurnal internasional. Dengan kemampuan tersebut mereka dapat meningkatkan kapital manusia dan identitas akademik. Begitu juga, mereka akan memiliki banyak kesempatan untuk pengembangan karier akademik di perguruan tinggi. Dengan demikian, kapital manusia dan identitas akademik sangat bernilai dan penting untuk pencapaian karier akademik mahasiswa program doktor pada masa depan.
