Penelitian ini  bertujuan  untuk  meningkatkan  aktivitas  dan  hasil belajar mahasiswa semester 2B prodi pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Universitas PGRI Palembang sebanyak 47 orang setelah diterapkan model cooperative learning tipe think pair share pada pembelajaran menulis teks berita. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari 3 pertemuan. Prosedur penelitian terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data mengunakan teknik tes dan nontes. Analisis data meliputi data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar menulis teks berita melalui penerapan model cooperative learning tipe think pair share. Rata-rata persentase aktivitas belajar mahasiswa pada siklus I adalah 52,91%, siklus II adalah 63,24%, dan siklus III 77,49%. Sementara rata-rata nilai hasil belajar mahasiswa siklus I sebesar 60,53, siklus II 69,52, dan siklus III 79,25.

IMPLEMENTATION OF MODELS COOPERATIVE LEARNING TYPE THINK PAIR SHARE LEARNING ON TO WRITE THE NEWS TEXTS AT THE SECOND SEMESTER

 

Abstract

               The aims of this research to improve the activity and student learning outcomes through the implementation of cooperative learning models think pair share type. The subject of this three cycle classroom research were students of the second semester in the program study of Indonesia of University of PGRI Palembang. The data analysis techniques in the form of qualitative  and  quantitative  analysis.  Data  obtained  through  observation  and formative tests. The results showed that there were  increase in activity and result of learning students. The average percentage of student learning activities in the first cycle was 52,91%, the second cycle was 63,24%, and third cycle 77,49%. While the average of result learning students in the first cycle of 60,53, the second cycle of 69.52, and third cycle 79,25.
