Peer Review

Peer Review Process

Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial evaluation by the editorial team of JUANG: Jurnal Wahana Konseling to determine its alignment with the journal’s focus and scope. During this initial review, the editor may request revisions before sending the manuscript for peer review. This stage typically takes about one week.

Manuscripts that pass the initial review will proceed to a double-blind peer review process, in which at least two independent reviewers evaluate the content for quality, rigor, and relevance. In a double-blind review, the identities of both the author(s) and reviewers are kept confidential to ensure unbiased feedback.

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

  1. Accept the manuscript as it is,
  2. Request minor revisions for publication,
  3. Request major revisions with the option to resubmit,
  4. Suggest submission to another publication, or
  5. Reject the manuscript.

The review process, from submission to the initial editorial decision, generally takes 6–8 weeks. The time required for a final decision may vary depending on factors such as the number of revision rounds and the authors' responsiveness. On average, the final decision takes approximately 3–4 months.

The total time for manuscript publication depends on several factors, including submission date, adherence to publication guidelines, and the journal’s publication schedule. Accepted manuscripts are typically published within 3–4 months of acceptance.
