Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

JUANG: Jurnal Wahana Konseling welcomes original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under review by other journals. Submitted manuscripts must be written in clear academic language and should be relevant to the field of guidance and counseling.

Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original research articles
  • Literature review articles
  • Conceptual papers

All manuscripts must be related to guidance and counseling or other relevant educational and psychological studies.

Manuscript Language

Manuscripts may be written in:

  • Bahasa Indonesia
  • English

Manuscript Format

Authors are required to prepare manuscripts according to the journal template with the following format:

  • Paper size: A4
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font size: 12 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Maximum length: 14 pages
  • Format: One column

Manuscript Structure

For research articles, the manuscript should include the following sections:

Title

The title should be concise, informative, and clearly reflect the main focus of the study.

Author Identity

First Author¹, Second Author²

Article Info

  • Submitted: date month year

Abstract

The abstract must be written in one paragraph and should include:

  • Research objective
  • Research method
  • Main findings
  • Conclusion

Keywords

Authors should provide 3–5 keywords.

Example:
guidance and counseling, self-efficacy, group counseling, students, education

Main Body

Introduction

The introduction should briefly present:

  • Research background
  • Research gap or previous relevant studies
  • Urgency of the study
  • Research objective

A lengthy theoretical explanation is not required in this section.

Method

The method section should clearly explain:

  • Research type or design
  • Participants or data sources
  • Data collection techniques
  • Data analysis techniques

Results and Discussion

This section presents the main findings and their interpretation. It should include:

  • Research findings
  • Data analysis
  • Interpretation of results
  • Discussion linked to previous studies or relevant theories

Subsections may include:

  • Results
  • Discussion

Conclusion

The conclusion should directly answer the research objective. It may include:

  • Main conclusion
  • Practical implications
  • Suggestions for future research

CRediT Authorship Contribution Statement

All authors contributed significantly to the conceptualization, methodology, data collection, data analysis, manuscript writing, revision, and approval of the final version.

Data Availability Statement

The data are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request. The data are not publicly available due to confidentiality and ethical considerations.

Declaration of AI-Assisted Writing

AI-assisted writing tools were used only to improve language, grammar, and readability. All scientific content, analysis, interpretation, conclusions, and academic responsibility remain with the authors.

Funding Statement

This research received no specific funding from any public, private, commercial, or non-profit organization.

Declaration of Competing Interest

The authors declare no financial or non-financial competing interests.

Acknowledgement

The authors thank all respondents, institutions, and related parties who supported this research.

References

References must follow the journal citation style. Authors should ensure that:

  • All references cited in the manuscript are listed in the reference section.
  • All references in the reference list are cited in the manuscript.
  • References are arranged alphabetically.
  • References are not grouped by source type.
  • Most references come from recent and relevant scholarly sources.
  • Reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote is strongly recommended.

Originality and Plagiarism

All submitted manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism. Manuscripts will be checked using plagiarism detection software. The maximum allowed similarity index is 20%.

Review Process

All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process. The editorial board has the right to accept, reject, or request revisions based on the reviewers’ recommendations.

  • Publication Fee: IDR 250,000
  • Fast Track: Not available

Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are required to register as an author before submitting their manuscript.

Copyright and License

Authors retain the copyright of their published work and grant the journal the right of first publication. Published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document, same the template.

The author warrants that the article is:

3. User Rights

In the spirit of open access, Jurnal Wahana Konseling supports the free dissemination of articles. Under the Creative Commons license, users may copy, distribute, display, and perform the work, provided they attribute the authors and the journal in all forms of distribution.

4. Rights of Authors

Authors retain rights to their published works, including:

  • Copyright and related proprietary rights.
  • The right to use the article in future works (lectures, books).
  • The right to reproduce the article for personal use.
  • The right to enter into additional contracts for non-exclusive distribution (e.g., posting to institutional repositories or inclusion in books), with acknowledgment of its original publication in Jurnal Wahana Konseling.

5. Co-Authorship

If the article is co-authored, the submitting author warrants that all co-authors agree to this policy and that they are informed of the terms. Jurnal Wahana Konseling will not be liable for any disputes between authors and will communicate only with the corresponding author.

6. Royalties

As an open-access journal, Jurnal Wahana Konseling provides free article access under the Creative Commons license. Authors are not entitled to any royalties or fees.
