Journal History

JUANG: Jurnal Wahana Konseling is a scientific journal published by the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Universitas PGRI Palembang, as a medium for the publication of scholarly ideas, theoretical studies, and research findings in the field of guidance and counseling. Since its initial publication, this journal has been intended to support the development of counseling scholarship, broaden the dissemination of academic work, and strengthen the culture of scientific publication within higher education and among educational practitioners.

Based on indexed archives, JUANG has been actively publishing scientific articles at least since Volume 1 Number 2 in 2018. In its early stage, the journal began by publishing articles focusing on guidance and counseling services, learning, student behavior, and the development of counseling practices in schools. This journey has continued consistently through subsequent volumes.

JUANG has also gained recognition within the national indexing ecosystem. The journal’s profile in SINTA shows that JUANG is indexed and holds an accreditation status of Sinta 5. This achievement represents an important milestone in the journal’s development, reflecting its continuous efforts to improve article quality, editorial management, and the visibility of its scientific publications.
