Metode Ekspositori salah satu metode pembelajaran yang diadopsi dan dikembangkan dalam pelaksanaan program bimbingan dan konseling secara kalsikal untuk komponen pelayanan dasar serta peminatan dan perencanaan individu, yang tercantum secara jelas dalam POP BK 2016. Namun kenyataan di lapangan masih banyak kalangan profesional (guru atau keonselor di sekolah maupu luar sekolah, akademik maupun mahasiswa) yang belum familiar atau mengenal dengan metode ekspositori. Isu ini dapat menjadi ancaman bagi harmonisasi dan keefektifan pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling terutama di lingkungan pendidikan, apabila tidak dijadikan bahan rujukan untuk diskusi ataupun mencari alternatif pemecahannya dari semua pihak dari kalangan praktisi, pendidik maupun birokrasi ataupun ahli lainnya. Metode ekspositori dianalogikan dengan metode ceramah dan konvensional, metode pembelajaran yang menekankan kepada proses penyampaian materi secara verbal dari seseorang guru kepada sekelompok siswa atau peserta didik dengan maksud agar siswa dapat menguasai materi pembelajaran secara optimal. Guru cenderung menjadi lebih berperan sebagai fokus pembelajaran yang memberikan informasi sedangkan peserta didik tidak terlalu banyak aktivitas untuk menemukan materi. Dalam pelaksanaan bimbingan dan konseling guru BK atau konselor berdampingan menggunakan metode ekspositori dalam bentuk ceramah, demonstrasi, tanya jawab dan penugasan. Konselor atau guru BK menyiapkan materi layanan, dengan menggunakan berbagai media baik langsung maupun elektronik (film, tulisan, gambar dan simulasi) dengan memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta didik sehingga dapat mencapai kemandirian yang utuh dan optimal dalam kehidupan pribadi, sosial dan karir serta mencapai keselarasan antara pikiran, perasaaan dan perilaku.

Ekspositori methods is one of the learning methods that was adopted an develop in the implementation of guidance and counseling program in kalsikal, to based service component so prefering and individual planning which be listed clearly in POP BK 2016. But in the reality many professionals (a teacher or counselor at school or out school, academic and students) who have not yet familiar or knowing ekspositori methods. This issue can be a threat to harmonisation and effectiveness of assistance would not only provide services and counseling said especially in educational environment, if this issue is not used as the used as a reference for discussion on the great commission nor a search for an alternative disgrace or bury it alive from all parties from among official would receive any commission, educator as well as government to process their claims on the great commission nor the people of the other. Ekspositori methods like as learning method and conventionally, the learning methods emphasized to attention was given the process of to deliver the material was verbally of a teacher told a group of students or school tuition in order that student could be control of learning optimally. Teachers tend to be more of a role as focus learning that gives the information while participants students not too much activity to find matter. In the implementation of the programs of guidance and counseling, counseling teacher or counselor side by side uses the method ekspositori in the form of lectures, a demonstration, a question and answer session and the commissioning of. A counselor or teacher counseling deliver the material was the local authority by preparing services, by the use of various media including directly and electronic media (film, of a piece of writing, the fact that figure and a simulation) with could provide the opportunity to kids so that it can be independency together and the optimal in our personal lives, as well as social and a career as well as achieve harmony between the mind, distress and behavior.
