Change of Authorship

Authors are expected to carefully determine the list and order of authors before submitting their manuscript. The final and complete list of authors must be provided at the time of the initial submission.

Any request to add, remove, or rearrange the names of authors may only be made before the manuscript has been accepted and must be approved by the Editor.

To request a change in authorship, the corresponding author must submit:

  • A clear explanation of the reason for the requested change; and
  • Written confirmation (via e-mail or signed letter) from all authors stating their agreement with the proposed addition, removal, or rearrangement of authorship. In the case of adding or removing an author, written confirmation from the affected author must also be provided.

Requests for changes in authorship after the manuscript has been accepted will only be considered under exceptional circumstances and are subject to the Editor's approval. During the evaluation of such requests, the publication process may be suspended.

If the manuscript has already been published, any approved changes in authorship will be documented through the publication of a corrigendum.
