EDITORIAL PROCESS
Jurnal Ampere applies a structured editorial and peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, relevance, and academic integrity of published articles. The editorial process consists of the following stages:
1. Manuscript Submission
Authors submit manuscripts through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Manuscripts must comply with the journal's Author Guidelines, Focus and Scope, formatting requirements, and publication ethics policies.
2. Initial Editorial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief or assigned Editor conducts an initial screening to assess whether the manuscript:
- fits the Focus and Scope of Jurnal Ampere;
- follows the journal's submission and formatting requirements;
- meets basic standards of academic and scientific quality; and
- is free from obvious ethical or publication-related concerns.
The manuscript may also undergo a similarity check using appropriate plagiarism or similarity-detection software.
Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's basic requirements may be returned to the authors for correction or rejected before peer review.
3. Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to qualified and independent reviewers with relevant expertise.
Jurnal Ampere applies a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential during the review process.
Normally, manuscripts are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers.
4. Reviewer Evaluation
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on relevant academic and scientific criteria, including:
- originality and novelty;
- relevance to the field of Electrical Engineering;
- research methodology;
- scientific and technical quality;
- data analysis and interpretation;
- clarity of presentation; and
- validity of conclusions.
Reviewers provide comments and recommendations to assist the Editor in making an editorial decision and to help authors improve their manuscripts.
5. Revision
Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer and editorial comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.
The number of revision rounds depends on the quality of the manuscript and the extent of revisions required.
6. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' evaluations and the Editor's assessment, the manuscript may receive one of the following decisions:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
The Editor-in-Chief has final responsibility for the editorial decision.
7. Copyediting and Proofreading
Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading to ensure consistency in language, formatting, references, metadata, and compliance with the journal's publication standards.
Authors may be asked to check the final proof before publication.
8. Publication
After the final editorial and production processes are completed, the article is published online in the scheduled issue of Jurnal Ampere.
Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and is made immediately available in accordance with the journal's Open Access Policy.
Editorial Integrity
Jurnal Ampere maintains editorial independence and confidentiality throughout the publication process. Editorial decisions are based on academic and scientific considerations and are not influenced by commercial interests.
