Peer Review Process
Jurnal Ampere implements a Double-Blind Peer Review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific integrity of every published article. In this review model, the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process to ensure fairness, objectivity, and impartiality.
Each manuscript submitted to Jurnal Ampere undergoes the following review process:
1. Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the Open Journal Systems (OJS). All submissions must comply with the journal's Author Guidelines, manuscript template, publication ethics, and Focus and Scope.
2. Initial Editorial Assessment
The Editorial Office conducts an initial assessment to verify that the manuscript:
- Falls within the journal's Focus and Scope;
- Complies with the journal's formatting and submission requirements;
- Meets the minimum standards of scientific quality and originality.
Manuscripts that do not satisfy these requirements may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected without external review.
3. Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are screened using Turnitin or equivalent plagiarism detection software. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 25%.
The Editorial Board evaluates not only the overall similarity percentage but also the nature of the matched content. Similarity resulting from properly cited references, standard technical terminology, and commonly used methodological descriptions is not automatically regarded as plagiarism.
4. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the plagiarism screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript.
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
- Originality and novelty;
- Scientific contribution;
- Technical quality and research methodology;
- Data analysis and interpretation;
- Clarity of presentation;
- Adequacy of references; and
- Relevance to the field of Electrical Engineering.
5. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
If necessary, the manuscript may be sent to an additional reviewer before a final decision is made.
6. Revision Process
Authors are required to revise the manuscript in accordance with the reviewers' comments and submit a point-by-point response within the specified revision period. Revised manuscripts may undergo additional rounds of review if necessary.
7. Final Acceptance and Publication
Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, proofreading, DOI registration, and final production before publication. All published articles are immediately available online under the Open Access Policy of Jurnal Ampere.
Publication Ethics
Editors and reviewers are required to maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts, avoid conflicts of interest, and conduct the review process objectively and professionally.
Jurnal Ampere follows the ethical principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and is committed to preventing plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, and other forms of publication misconduct.
The journal strives to complete the peer-review process within 4–8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the number of revision rounds required.
