Correction and Retraction Policy

Jurnal Ampere is committed to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record. The journal may publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when significant errors or publication ethics issues are identified.

1. Corrections

A correction may be published when an error in a published article affects the accuracy or clarity of the content but does not invalidate the main findings or conclusions. Corrections may address errors in text, figures, tables, author information, or other published details.

Corrections will be clearly identified and linked to the original article.

2. Expressions of Concern

An Expression of Concern may be issued when there are serious questions about the reliability or integrity of a published article that cannot be resolved promptly. It may also be issued while an investigation is ongoing, when appropriate.

The journal will update the status when further information becomes available.

3. Retractions

A published article may be retracted when there is clear evidence of serious problems, such as unreliable findings caused by major errors or research misconduct, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other significant breaches of publication ethics.

Retraction decisions are made by the editorial team based on the available evidence and relevant publication ethics guidance. Authors will normally be given an opportunity to respond before a final decision is made, where appropriate.

4. Editorial Assessment

All concerns about published articles will be assessed fairly and confidentially. The editorial team may request explanations or supporting evidence from the authors and, when necessary, consult independent experts or the authors' affiliated institutions.

Decisions will be based on the available evidence, the seriousness of the issue, and the need to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.

5. Publication of Notices

Correction, Expression of Concern, and Retraction notices will clearly identify the affected article and explain the reason for the action, as appropriate. The original article will remain accessible where possible, with its publication status clearly indicated, to maintain transparency and preserve the scholarly record.

6. Ethical Principles

Jurnal Ampere handles corrections and retractions in accordance with its publication ethics policies and relevant guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

For suspected research misconduct, please refer to the Allegations of Research Misconduct policy.
